7th Annual cultural festival held at Valvettithurai

The annual cultural events of ‘Valvettithurai cultural organization’ was held on 1st Jan 2017, at the prominant temples road, Valvettithurai. The event was headed by Mr.K.Paramesh, the head of the Cultural organization, where Mr.R.Rajesh Kannan (Senior lecturer, Faculty of Sociology, University of Jaffna) participated as Chief Guest and Mr.A.Sivanathan (The Principal, J/Puttalai Maha Vidyalayam) and Mavai N.Gajendran (Director, Valampuri of Jaffna daily news paper) participated as special guests.
The events commenced at about 1600 hours, by welcoming the guests from VVT junction with the traditional musical play and various dances.
Having lighted the auspicious lamp at the site of the stage, the 7th successful cultural events continued with many programmes including awarding ceremony for the best achievements, solo and group dances and drama etc.
As the part of events, the seventh edition of 'Neithal' Magazine was published. The magazine has got various reviews and articles from several writers of this tiny coastal town .
The event continued till 2230 hours, where several hundreds witnessed the event.
